The 2025 NCCN Patient Advocacy Summit will provide an opportunity for a varied group of stakeholders including patients, providers, payers, patient advocacy organizations, and industry to address the increased incidences of cancer that veterans and emergency responders face and their unique cancer care needs as a result of this. Panelists will engage in thoughtful discussions on relevant issues impacting access for these groups, and topics that will be explored include veterans’ and first responders’ heightened risk of certain cancers, the lack of governmental support and awareness of currently available assistance programs, health literacy concerns, workplace culture barriers, presumptive coverage issues, and more.
