Join the University of Chicago Medicine, Center for Asian Health Equity and Comprehensive Cancer Center and Illinois Department of Public Health’s Illinois Comprehensive Cancer Control Program for a 3-part webinar series with educational presentations and panel discussions on cancers of colon & rectum, breast, cervix, and lung. The topics include primary prevention, early detection and treatment, and survivorship.

Objectives

  • Review and understanding of the importance and components of cancer survivorship comprehensive care 
  • Understand the barriers and facilitators for comprehensive survivorship care, including social determinants of health and financial toxicity that contributes to health disparities
  • Review and understand the current recommendations for cancer survivorship goals in lifestyle change (diet, nutrition) with a focus on vulnerable patients
  • Review and understand cancer survivor psychosocial and financial needs from a patient advocate perspective
  • Explore innovative models for partnerships with community, patient and provider to provide comprehensive survivorship care to decrease health disparities and promote health equity
