Comprehensive Cancer Professional Education Webinar Series
Join the University of Chicago Medicine, Center for Asian Health Equity and Comprehensive Cancer Center and Illinois Department of Public Health’s Illinois Comprehensive Cancer Control Program for a 3-part webinar series with educational presentations and panel discussions on cancers of colon & rectum, breast, cervix, and lung. The topics include primary prevention, early detection and treatment, and survivorship.
Objectives
- Review and understanding of the importance and components of cancer survivorship comprehensive care
- Understand the barriers and facilitators for comprehensive survivorship care, including social determinants of health and financial toxicity that contributes to health disparities
- Review and understand the current recommendations for cancer survivorship goals in lifestyle change (diet, nutrition) with a focus on vulnerable patients
- Review and understand cancer survivor psychosocial and financial needs from a patient advocate perspective
- Explore innovative models for partnerships with community, patient and provider to provide comprehensive survivorship care to decrease health disparities and promote health equity
