The summit will provide an opportunity for a varied group of stakeholders including patients, providers, payers, patient advocacy organizations, and industry to thoughtfully discuss diverse perspectives related to cancer screening, prevention, and early detection. The summit will include an overview of practice changes as well as trends in legislative and regulatory efforts that affect patient access to cancer screening. Major themes will include coverage for preventive services and screenings, including genetic testing, disparities in cancer screening, and the impact of social determinants of health on cancer prevention. Additionally, this event will include discussions around emerging screening technologies, the HPV vaccine and HPV-associated cancers, environmental risk factors, and the impact of smoking cessation programs on lung cancer. Speakers will focus on the opportunities for policies and practices that best reduce patients’ risk of cancer and that promote access to appropriate cancer screening.
