American Cancer Society Cancer Statistics Center

Authored by

The Cancer Statistics Center website is a comprehensive interactive resource for learning about the cancer burden in the United States. Produced by the American Cancer Society, the website provides detailed statistics on a range of topics including:

  • The estimated numbers of new cancer cases and deaths in the current year
  • Current cancer incidence, mortality, and survival rates and trends
  • State-level risk factor and screening metrics

The website offers a new way to explore the data the Society publishes in its annual Cancer Facts & Figures report, which it has been producing since 1951. The website also, for the first time, merges data from Society researchers' annual paper, Cancer Statistics, published in the American Cancer Society journal, CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians.
