The Annual Report to the Nation on the Status of Cancer (ARN) is an update of rates for new cases and deaths as well as trends for the most common cancers in the United States. ARN provides rates and trends for the most common cancers among adults, children (aged 0-14), and adolescents and young adults or AYAs (aged 15-39).
The report includes long-term trends (since 2001) and short-term trends with the most recent five years of data (2017-2021 for incidence and 2018-2022 for mortality). The report is jointly issued by the American Cancer Society (ACS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the North American Association of Central Cancer Registries (NAACCR), and the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
